Box Score 2 DECATUR, Ga. - The Sewanee softball team suffered a doubleheader sweep to the hands of Agnes Scott, falling 9-1 and 10-6 on Saturday afternoon from Oakhurst Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 1
-The Tigers got out to an early lead thanks to an RBI single by Kendell Goodrum in the top of the second.
-However, the Scotties rallied to score two runs in the second and four in the third to lead, 6-1.
-Agnes Scott put the contest away with a three-run frame to end the game via run-rule, 9-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 2
-In the second game, Sarah Wright got the offense going for Sewanee, launching a three-run shot to lead 3-0 after a half-inning.
-Agnes Scott would tack on a run in the bottom half of the frame, but in the top of the second, Maggie Wills posted an RBI groundout to extend the lead to 4-2.
-The Scotties, however, would respond and claim the lead for good with a three-run second and a run in the third.
-In the sixth, the hosts added four runs to put it away despite the Tigers adding two runs in the final frame.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Kendell Goodrum led the Tigers with two hits and an RBI in game one.
-Michaela Walker (2-3) allowed five earned runs in 2.1 innings in game one.
-Sarah Wright drove in three RBI in game two on a three-run homer, while Hannah Clarke and Peri Prestwood scored two runs each.
-Goodrum (0-3) pitched two innings for Sewanee to start game two.
AGNES SCOTT KEY STATISTICS
-KayLeigh Fitzgerald posted a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate with two RBI and runs scored each in the opener.
-Kayla Spinks (1-1) allowed four hits in six innings to earn the win.
-Michaela Dailey and Fitzgerald added two hits and RBI each in the second game, and Dash Acker (1-0) earned the win in relief, allowing one unearned run.

The weekend concludes with a doubleheader on Sunday at Wesleyan (Ga.).
