ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) released on Wednesday afternoon that doubles team Jordan Brewer and Hugh Graham has been selected as the SAA Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week.
Playing the No. 1 point in the Tigers season-opening weekend, the duo won twice in two regular season matches over Piedmont and Hanover, securing an 8-0 win over Chris Bale/Houston Medlock of the Lions before an 8-4 triumph over Roger Trombley and Connor Garrison of the Panthers.
In exhibition contests, the team recorded a win over Carson-Newman, an NCAA Division II school, and fell to the No. 1 team of Tennessee Wesleyan, who was ranked fourth in the NAIA doubles poll.
The Tigers are back in action on Thursday with a home match against Covenant before hitting the road this weekend for a weekend tournament at Mary Washington.
