Box Score MEQUON, Wis. - The Sewanee field hockey team scored three times in the third quarter to hold off the Falcons of Concordia Wisconsin for a 3-2 victory Saturday afternoon in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-CUW scored quickly in the contest on a goal by Kelsey Fulton from Sam Dunn 1:24 into the contest.
-The Tigers, despite out-shooting the hosts, 11-4 in the first 30 minutes of the contest, trailed 1-0 at the break.
-In the third quarter, Sewanee had four total shots, with three passing the goalie into the back of the cage. One minute in to the second half, Buckley Norman passed in front of the net to Ceara Caffrey for her 15th goal of the season to even the contest at a goal apiece.
-Over two minutes later in the 34th minute, Molly Wheeler struck for her third goal of the season from a Norman cross to give the Tigers their first lead of the contest, 2-1.
-1:18 later, Concordia Wisconsin pulled the lead away from Sewanee with a 34th minute goal from Megan McPIke from a Sam Dunn tip to even the contest at two.
-With a little over a minute remaining in the contest, Alex Hornsby gave Sewanee the lead for good with a high shot into the net for her third strike of the year.
-Concordia tried to even the contest in the final minute of regulation. The team took two shots, one saved by Barbara Canty, and the wide in the final seconds.

-Ceara Caffrey had 11 of the team's 18 shots in the contest.
-Caffrey, Alex Hornsby and Molly Wheeler each scored for Sewanee.
-Buckley Norman assisted on two of the team's three goals in the contest.
-Barbara Canty (4-9) had four saves in full time.

-Megan McPike had four shots, all on-target, and scored once.
-Katelyn Fitzgerald (2-6) saved six shots for the Falcons.
