Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee volleyball team, for the second time this season and the third time in the all-time series, forced a fifth set with No. 10 Berry, but the Vikings prevailed with a 3-2 victory Friday night from Juhan Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee came out strong in the opening set. The Tigers used a .229 attack percentage with 14 kills to win the set, 25-22.
-Berry found the momentum in the second set, as the team went on a 9-4 run to open the set. The Purple and Gold made it a 17-14 deficit, but the visitors finished the set on an 8-1 run to even the match at one set apiece.
-Each team was evenly matched to start the third set, but the Vikings began to pull away. The Vikings used a .273 attack percentage (14-2-44) to secure the set, 25-22.
-The Tigers trailed 23-18 before winning the next four points to cut the deficit to 23-22, but after a Vikings timeout, the team scored the next two points to win.
-Sewanee rallied late in the fourth set. Tied at 15 points apiece, the hosts went on a 6-2 run to lead 21-17 before the Tigers stayed afloat to force a fifth set, 25-22.
-At the start of the set, the Vikings had control from the start. Using a .381 attack percentage (9-1-21) and a 9-1 start, the visitors won the set and match with a 15-6 set score.

-During tonight's match, senior Constance Connolly surpassed another career milestone this season. After surpassing 2,500 assists last week, the Germantown, Tenn. native recorded her 1,000th dig.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Lilly Reilly had 23 digs and 17 kills on a .204 attack percentage to lead the Tigers.
-Destiny Stewart had 15 kills and digs each, while Anna Ball added 10 digs.
-Constance Connolly posted 40 assists and 24 digs.
BERRY KEY STATISTICS
-Emily Hancock had 24 digs and 17 kills, while Laura Beier posted 31 digs.
