Box Score 2 SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee softball team fell in their home finale to the Majors of Millsaps College, 10-1 and 6-2, on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 1
-The Majors scored in each run but the fifth, capped off by a five-run third inning.
-The Tigers' lone run came in the third on a Charlsey Shirey RBI single, scoring Katie Roth.
HOW IT HAPPENED, GAME 2
-In the afternoon game, the visitors scored two runs in the opening frame before adding single runs in the fourth and fifth and two runs in the sixth.
-Sewanee broke the shutout in the bottom of the seventh thanks to RBI singles by Rachel Hoffman and Katrina Ramos.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-In between games, the softball program recognized Amanda Watters for senior day.
-Katie Roth and Charlsey Shirey recorded the hits for the Tigers in the morning contest.
-In the series finale, Roth went 3-for-4 with three doubles and a run scored.
-Rachel Hoffman and Miranda Townsend each recorded two hits in the second game of the doubleheader.
-Jackie O'Reilly (4-17) allowed four earned in five innings in the opening game, and Rowan Jordan (0-1) went the distance in afternoon cap, allowing three earned runs on six hits.
MILLSAPS KEY STATISTICS
-Jordan Lipari went 2-for-4 in the opener, while Mackenzie Johnson and Kendall Carder each recorded three and two RBI each.
-Lindsey Osbon drove in two runs in the series finale.
-Karley Williams (1-4) went the run-rule distance in the opener, allowing one unearned run on two hits.
-Cassidy Denoon (7-7) earned the win in relief in the finale, tossing four innings and allowed two runs on five hits and four strikeouts.
UP NEXT
The regular season concludes next weekend for the softball program, as they travel to Birmingham-Southern.
