Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee softball team suffered a series sweep to the hands of the Hendrix Warriors, falling 12-3 on Saturday from the Tiger Softball Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Warriors opened the contest with an eight-run, eight-hit first inning, capped by an Aubrey Brink's grand slam.
-Sewanee broke the shutout in the second thanks to an RBI single by Charlsey Shirey, scoring Taylor Wagner.
-Hendrix made it a 9-1 contest on an RBI single in the third.
-The Tigers extended the contest in the fifth, as Jackie O'Reilly and Katie Roth both scored on an error.
-In the sixth, leading 9-3, the visitors scored three runs to put the contest away for good.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Katie Roth was perfect at the plate with two hits and a walk, while scoring a run.
-Jackie O'Reilly (4-16) allowed eight earned on seven hits in two-thirds of an inning.
HENDRIX KEY STATISTICS
-Aubrey Brink went into launch mode with a grand slam in the first as a part of a 4-for-4 day with 5 RBI.
-Nikki Sanders went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
-Emily Stockalper (4-0) allowed one earned run in six innings pitched, while walking five and allowing four hits.
