Box Score 2 MACON, Ga. (Feb. 18, 2017) – Host Wesleyan swept a doubleheader against the Sewanee softball team, Saturday, at the Matthews Athletic Complex.
The Tigers dropped the opener 8-0 and then lost the second game, 9-0.
In both games, Sewanee finished with five hits. Overall, Taylor Wagner led Sewanee with three hits.
Rachel Hoffman also had multiple hits while Miranda Townsend, Charlsey Shirey, Sydney Leibfritz, Emily Taylor, and Amanda Watters all added one hit.
In the opener, Wesleyan scored two runs in the bottom of the second, one in the fourth, and five in the fifth. In game two, Wesleyan scored two runs in the bottom of the first, six in the third, and one in the fourth.
Wesleyan finished the day with 10 hits in game one and eight in game two.
Sewanee returns to action with a doubleheader at Millsaps, March 25th.
