Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 win over Berea College on Friday to conclude the home schedule.
Sewanee (13-13) downed Berea (3-20) in straight sets, 25-11, 25-19, 25-9 thanks to a .347 attack percentage (43-10-95) for the match.
The Purple and Gold started out on fire with a .314 attack (15-4-35), but in the second set, they cooled down a bit to a .235 percentage (13-5-34). However, in the clinching set, Sewanee only committed one error on 26 attacks with 15 kills to seal the match.
Destiny Stewart and Olivia Nichols led the Tigers with double-digit kill performances. Stewart racked up 11 kills and 10 digs for her 12th double-double of the season. The freshman had 17 total attacks for the match with only one error committed for a .588 attack percentage, her highest mark this season.
Nichols posted 10 kills and six digs, as well as a block.
Peyton Parent dig out 12 attacks and recorded eight assists, while Claire Crow added 18 assists and eight digs.
The Tigers will now look to the SAA Tournament next weekend, as the fourth-seeded Tigers take on fifth-seed Millsaps at Berry. First serve is on Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. from the Cage Center.
