Covenant Takes Season Series, Downs Sewanee in Four

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - After an exciting five-set battle in Juhan Gymnasium earlier in the season to even the season series, the Sewanee volleyball team fell in four sets to Covenant on Thursday night at the Barnes PE Center, as the Scots wrapped up the season series, 2-1.

The Tigers avoided the shutout in the third set, but the Scots (20-7) extended their winning streak to 12 matches with a 25-15, 25-17, 20-25, 25-20 match victory.

Destiny Stewart reached 400 kills in her freshman campaign with 15 kills. She added 17 digs for her 11th double-double of the year.

Olivia Nichols posted 17 digs, seven kills and five block assists.

Mason Gardella had four kills with five total blocks, while Claire Crow recorded 19 assists and 13 digs.

The Tigers return to the court Friday with the home finale against Berea. First serve is slated for 5 p.m.
