Sewanee Downed by Rhodes in Home Finale

SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee field hockey team battled a closely contested match with Rhodes on Sunday afternoon, but it was the visitors who earned the 2-0 win from Puett Field.

After a scoreless 35 minutes of action, Rhodes (10-4, 5-0) found the back of the cage in the second half in the 41st and the 51st minutes.

Hannah Tompkins led the Tigers (7-5, 3-1) with two shots, one on goal.

Katya Waters (6-5) saved 12 shots in goal.

Sewanee wraps up the regular season this weekend. Their first stop is a trip to Centre College on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 12 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. CT.
