Tigers Falter to Hendrix in SAA Play

SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee volleyball team were downed in Southern Athletic Association play on Sunday by the Warriors of Hendrix in four sets, 21-25, 25-19, 13-25, 13-25.

The Tigers (10-11, 4-8) rallied to even the matchup at one, but a combined .271 attack percentage (26-7-70) in the final two sets led to victory for Hendrix (9-13, 6-5).

Destiny Stewart recorded 10 kills and 17 digs for the Tigers, while Peyton totaled 20 digs.

Constance Connolly had 19 assists, while Claire Crow added 12 of her own.

Brandi Ryan had 15 kills, posting a .302 attack percentage (15-2-43) for Hendrix.

Sewanee next competes at Oglethorpe Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. CT.
