Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. (Sept. 18, 2016) – Led by three goals in the first half, Randolph showcased an impressive offense en route to a 4-0 win over the Sewanee men's soccer team, Sunday.
The home Wildcats fired 13 first-half shots, which led to goals by Blake Heatherly, Travis Brown, and Eynnar Claros in the opening 45 minutes.
Brown added one final Randolph goal midway through the second half when the Wildcat forward was able to get behind two Tiger defenders on a crossing pass.
Overall, Randolph led in shot attempts 19-5. However, Sewanee did manage a 4-3 advantage in corners.
Tiger freshman Ben Vaeth led the attack with two shots while Alpo Sipillä, Kyle Johnston, and Parker Fay each fired one attempt
With a 4-2-1 overall record and playing seven matches in the first three weeks, Sewanee travels to regional-rival Emory, Wednesday. That contest is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. (EST) in Atlanta.
