SEWANEE, Tenn. – Grayson White scored twice, including the game-winning penalty kick, as Sewanee defeated LaGrange, 4-2, on Wednesday night in men's soccer action at Puett Field.

The Tigers got on the board early, earning a penalty kick in the fifth minute after Thomas McGowan was fouled in the box. White converted the opportunity to give Sewanee a 1-0 lead.

Just over a minute later, Brady Lloyd connected with McGowan, who found the back of the net to extend the Tigers' advantage to 2-0.

LaGrange cut into the deficit just before halftime, as Clay Kafsky scored with eight seconds remaining in the opening half to make it a 2-1 game.

The Panthers tied the match in the 69th minute when Kenny Pameni converted a penalty kick.

Sewanee quickly regained the lead, as White converted his second penalty kick of the night in the 74th minute to put the Tigers back in front, 3-2.

Edward Kennedy added an insurance goal in the 85th minute, heading home a pass from Luke Manley to give Sewanee a 4-2 advantage.

The Tigers finished with a 20-13 advantage in shots and placed seven shots on goal. Sewanee also earned seven corner kicks to LaGrange's three. Reid Gunzenhauser made four saves in goal for the Tigers.

With the win, Sewanee improves to 6-1-1 on the season and will host Talladega on Saturday afternoon for their Senior Day against Talladega College with a 2 p.m. kickoff.
