No. 34 Sewanee dominates rival No. 25 Washington & Lee, 7-2

SEWANEE, Tenn. (April 22, 2016) – The No. 34 ranked Sewanee men's tennis team rolled over No. 25 ranked rival Washington & Lee, 7-2, Friday, at the Bruton-Guerry Tennis Courts.

The Tigers wrap up their regular season with a 15-6 record.

Sewanee opened by winning two out of three doubles matches. At No. 1, Jack Gray and Eric Roddy defeated Will Bannister and Jordan Krasner, 8-4. A court over, Fletcher Kerr and Avery Schober outlasted Zack Ely and Thomas Johnson 9-8 (7-1).

In singles action, Sewanee kept dominating. The Tigers won all five of their matches in straight sets.

At No. 1 Schober defeated Krasner 6-3, 6-0 while at No. 2 Roddy rolled over Johnson 6-3, 6-1.

At No. 4 Connor Winkler won against Ely 6-4, 6-3 while Davis Owen defeated Joe Siami 6-3, 7-5.

Finally, at No. 6, Scott Gallimore crushed Perry Clements 6-1, 6-2.
