Box Score 2 ROME, Ga. (Feb. 20, 2016) – Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Berry completed a three-game series over the Sewanee softball team, Saturday, at Ford Field.
Berry opened with a 15-0 win and followed with a 9-0 victory in the nightcap.
In game one, Berry scored two runs in the bottom of the first and then added nine in the second. The Vikings eventually added four more runs in the fourth.
Berry starter Allie Coronado earned the win after she struck out one and allowed only one hit in the complete-game shutout.
The lone Sewanee hit came from Caroline Holmes.
In the second game, Berry starter Kassie Howard tossed a no-hitter after she struck out 11 hitters. The one walk came from Sewanee's Courtney Saunders.
The Tigers return to action with a doubleheader at Rust on Wednesday.
