Behind Dyslin, No. 19 Hendrix downs Sewanee in three sets

SEWANEE, Tenn. (Oct. 2, 2016)  Behind 14 kills from Sara Dyslin, No. 19 ranked Hendrix defeated the Sewanee volleyball team, 3-0, Sunday, at Juhan Gymnasium.

With their split this weekend, the Tigers are 8-7 overall and 2-5 in SAA action.

Overall, the Warriors were strong on the attack with a .303 hitting percentage. Hendrix's defense limited Sewanee to a .098 attack.

Individually, senior Diamond Stewart led the Tigers with six kills. Caroline Owens, Elizabeth Gill, and Mason Gardella each finished with five kills while Anna Wilson and Constance Connolly each added nine assists.

Additionally, Gill and Rebecca Rowan combined for a season-high seven blocks.

Sewanee continues its conference homestand with a 6:00 p.m. match against Berry, Friday.
