Box Score LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. (Sept. 29, 2015) – Behind a strong attack percentage, regional-rival Covenant earned a 3-0 win over the Sewanee volleyball team, Tuesday, inside the Barnes PE Center.
The Tigers are now 9-6 overall while the Scots improved to 5-8.
Covenant opened the match and took the first set, 25-19. The Scots then earned a strong 25-10 victory in the second before outlasting the Tigers 26-24 in the third set.
Overall, Covenant hit .211 while limiting Sewanee to a .029 attack percentage.
Individually, setter Walker Buxton led the offense with six kills and 15 assists. Libero Sara Jayne Sutton finished with a team-high 11 digs while Buxton stopped seven attacks.
Ginny Moore led all players for Covenant with a match-high 16 kills.
Sewanee returns to action with a 1:00 p.m., match against Birmingham-Southern, Saturday.
