Box Score 2 SEWANEE, Tenn. (Sept. 11, 2015) – The Sewanee volleyball team pushed its winning streak to five straight matches with victories over Wesleyan and Huntingdon, Friday, inside Juhan Gymnasium.
The Tigers are now 5-2 overall and have won their last three matches with perfect 3-0 scores.
Sewanee opened the afternoon with a convincing win over Wesleyan. Sewanee outscored the Wolves 25-10, 25-6, and 25-9.
Sewanee hit a season-high .364 with 29 kills and only eight errors.
Later on Friday, the Tigers rolled past Huntingdon by a score of 25-12, 25-13, and 25-17.
Sewanee was again strong on the attack, hitting .303.
Individually, Diamond Stewart finished with a combined 22 kills and seven digs.
Middle blocker Caroline Montgomery also played well with 23 kills while setter Walker Buxton dished out 43 assists.
On defense, freshman libero led the Tigers with 16 digs.
Sewanee quickly returns to action with a pair of matches Saturday on the Domain.
