Box Score 2 CONWAY, Ark. (April 3, 2015) – Southern Athletic Association (SAA) member Hendrix opened a four-game series with a pair of 17-1 wins Friday against the Sewanee softball team at Warrior Field.
In game one, the Tigers fell behind after Hendrix scored a number of runs in each of the first four innings. The Tigers got on the board when Courtney Saunders drove in Caroline Holmes in the top of the fourth off of Hendrix starter Autumn Martin.
In the nightcap, Hendrix wasted little time putting the game out of hand. The Warriors scored 14 runs in the bottom of the first.
Sewanee again scored in the top of the fourth as Saunders drove in Shayla Vandergriff with an RBI single.
The four-game series will conclude with a doubleheader on Saturday.
