No. 2 Emory defeats No. 28 Sewanee

SEWANEE, Tenn. (April 15, 2015) – No. 2 ranked Emory defeated the No. 28 Sewanee men's tennis team, 9-0, Wednesday at the Bruton-Guerry Tennis Center.

The Eagles, who are 13-5 overall, opened by winning all three doubles matches. Sewanee, who entered the contest after winning eight-straight matches, saw its winning streak snapped are also 13-5.

In singles action, Emory won five contests in straight sets. Those victories came from Alex Ruderman, Ian Wagner, Josh Goodman, Aman Manji, and David Omsky.

In the final singles match, Sewanee's Avery Schober battled Rafe Mosetick at No. 1. After Moseticktook the opening set 6-4, Schober battled back with a second-set 6-2 win. However, the Tiger sophomore could not hold serve in the third, falling to Mosetick at 6-1.
