Box Score 2 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (April 11, 2015) – Southern Athletic Association rival Birmingham-Southern swept a pair of games against the Sewanee softball team, Saturday, at BSC Softball Park.
The home Panthers earned an 8-0 in the first game and a 13-0 in the second contest.
Behind all-conference pitcher Bethany Fronk, BSC allowed only one hit to the Tigers in the opener. Shayla Vandergriff led Sewanee at the plate with a 1-for-2 performance.
Overall, Fronk struck out nine hitters.
In the second game, BSC starter Taylor Harkins pitched a perfect game while striking out six.
Sewanee and BSC will close out their four-game series, Sunday.
