Box Score 2 JACKSON, Miss. (March 8, 2015) – Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Millsaps completed a four-game sweep of the Sewanee softball team Sunday with a pair of victories.
The Majors earned wins of 9-0 and 11-0, which dropped the Tigers to 0-4 to start the season.
In the opener on Sunday Sewanee was led at the plate by Caroline Holmes and Grace Cobbs, who both finished with a hit.
Despite the score, Sewanee was only outhit by four, 6-2. The Tigers downfall was walks.
In game two, Sara Burklin had the Tigers' only hit after Millsaps starter Cassidy DeNoon struck out six in the complete-game win.
Sewanee will step outside SAA play with a doubleheader at Covenant, Wednesday.
