Sewanee earns another ranked win after defeating rival No. 36 W&L, 6-3

LEXINGTON, Va. (March 22, 2015) – The Sewanee men's tennis team kept rolling Sunday with an impressive 6-3 victory over rival No. 36 Washington & Lee.

The Tigers are now 9-4 overall with ranked wins over W&L, No. 39 Christopher Newport, and No. 28 Denison. All those victories have come in the Tigers' last four matches.

Sewanee opened as Eric Roddy and Alex Cooper earned a key 8-6 victory of Michael Holt and Christopher Hu at No. 1 doubles.

Rand Jackson and Scott Gallimore then teamed up for an 8-2 win over Sam Borowsky and Joe Siami at N0. 3.

Up by one, 2-1, to start singles Avery Schober continued his outstanding run at No. 1 with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Holt.

Also earning singles wins for the Tigers were Eric Roddy, who topped Will Bannister 6-1, 6-4, and Connor Winkler, who defeated Brian Krouskos 6-3, 7-6.

Finally, Cooper earned his second victory in as many days with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Siami at No. 6.
