Box Score ROME, Ga. (Oct. 10, 2015) – Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Berry earned a 3-0 victory over the Sewanee volleyball team, Saturday, inside the Cage Center.
The Vikings took the first set, 25-18. Berry then took the second, 25-22, and was able to win the final frame at 25-20.
Both teams played well on offense. Berry finished with a .257 attack percentage while Sewanee hit .178.
Overall, Diamond Stewart led Sewanee with 12 kills. Teammates Walker Buxton and Sara Jayne Sutton also finished with double digit stats. Buxton led Sewanee with 20 assists while Sutton stopped 12 attacks.
Katie O'Rourke led Berry with a match-high 18 kills. Jessica Gum also had double-digit kills with 11.
Sewanee returns to action with a 1:00 p.m., match at Oglethorpe, Sunday.
