Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. (Sept. 21, 2014) – Behind a solid attack, Southern Athletic Association (SAA) member Hendrix earned a 3-0 victory against the Sewanee volleyball team, Sunday, inside Juhan Gymnasium.
The win improved the Warriors' record to 14-2 overall and 3-0 in SAA action. After earning a win against rival Rhodes, Saturday, the Tigers are now 4-8 overall and 1-2 in league play after this weekend.
Hendrix opened the match on fire. The Warriors hit .577 to take the first set 25-12. Despite Sewanee's great effort the next two sets, the Tigers dropped the final two frames 25-18 and 25-21.
Overall, the Warriors finished with a .369 attack percentage and 42 kills. Sewanee finished with .160 mark and 28 winning attacks.
Individually, Jamie Sue Wilson and Diamond Stewart both finished with a team-high seven kills. Walker Buxton also pitched in 10 assists while Rachel Schuman added 12.
Sewanee continues its homestand with a 6:00 p.m. match against Huntingdon, Thursday.
