Covenant tops Sewanee, 4-0

SEWANEE, Tenn. (Sept. 12, 2014) – Regional-rival Covenant used a big first half to defeat the Sewanee men's soccer team 4-0, Friday, at Puett Field.

The loss dropped the Tigers' record to 2-3 overall while the Scots improved to 3-2. 

Covenant scored three goals in the opening 45 minutes and one in the second to take command of the contest.

Despite the lopsided score, the Scots finished with just a one-shot advantage in total attempts, 15-14, while both teams finished with four corner kicks. 

Sewanee continues its three-match homestand with a 7:00 p.m. contest against in-state rival Maryville, Tuesday.
