Box Score 2 SEWANEE, Tenn. (April 5, 2014) – Southern Athletic Association (SAA) leader Birmingham-Southern opened its series with the Sewanee softball team by earning two wins, Saturday.
The Panthers opened with a 9-0 win and then followed 15-0 victory in game two.
Sewanee's lone hit in the opener came by catcher Tori Haugvoll. BSC starter Taylor Harkins tossed 7.0 innings of one hit ball while striking out 10.
In the second game, Sewanee was again held in check. The Tigers lone hit came again from Haugvoll.
Sewanee and BSC continues their four-game series with a noon doubleheader, Sunday.
