No-hitter leads Rhodes to two wins over Sewanee

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 13, 2014) – Led by a no-hitter from starter Forrest Skelton, Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Rhodes earned a pair of victories over the Sewanee softball team, Sunday, at Rhodes Lynx Field.

Rhodes earned a 19-0 win in the first game and a 12-1 victory in the second.

Game three starter Skelton finished with 10 strikeouts and only one walk.

Sewanee was led at the plate by Sarah Fleming, who finished 2-for-3 in the final contest. Courtney Saunders also added a hit and a run scored, while Emily Culbertson also had one hit and an RBI.

Sewanee is scheduled to play a doubleheader at Covenant on Tuesday.
