Box Score 2 MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 12, 2014) – Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Rhodes earned a pair of wins over the Sewanee softball team Saturday at Rhodes Lynx Field.
The Lynx won the opener 16-1 and then topped the Tigers 18-0 in the second contest.
The lone Sewanee run in the first game came in the top of the fourth, when Grace Cobbs drove in Michelle Thibodeaux.
Rhodes pounded out 15 hits, including four doubles and one homerun.
In the second game the Lynx dominated with 15 hits, while pitchers Forrest Skelton and Emily Cerrito combined for seven strike outs.
Both teams will conclude the four-game series with a doubleheader, Sunday.
