DANVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 8, 2014) – Rival Rhodes earned a 7-1 win over the Sewanee field hockey team Saturday in semifinal action of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament on the campus of Centre College.

The Lynx advanced to Sunday's championship match.

Rhodes opened with three first-half goals. That included two scores from Erin Best. The Lynx would then stretch their lead to 7-0 until the 66th minute.

Sewanee finally got on the board when Katie Wilson scored off an assist from Kat Mulligan.

Saturday marked the end of the 2014 season for the Tigers. Sewanee finished with 8-8 overall record. In fact, the Tigers have now finished with an 8-8 record the past two seasons.

Finally, the loss against Rhodes was the final match for seniors Margaret Knudsen and Zuie Billings. After starting their careers on a team that finished 5-10, both student-athletes help turn around the program the past three seasons.
