Volleyball improves to 7-0 with sweep over Huntington

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Sept. 6, 2013) – Led by three players with seven kills, the Sewanee volleyball team stayed unbeaten Friday with a 3-0 sweep over Huntington to open the Birmingham-Southern Invitational.

With the victory, Sewanee is now 7-0 this season.

After winning the match 25-17, 25-13, and 25-22, the Tigers have yet to drop a single set this season.

Individually, Jamie Sue Wilson, Caroline Montgomery, and Diamond Stewart led Sewanee with seven kills each.

Additionally, setter Rachel Schuman dished out 14 assists and libero Jamie Kosman finished with 18 digs.

The Tigers will quickly return to action with two more matches Saturday at Birmingham-Southern.
