Box Score 2 JACKSON, Miss. (April 14, 2013) – Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Millsaps capped off a four-game sweep of the Sewanee softball team, Sunday.
Sarah Walker and Cooper Killen each had RBI singles in Sewanee's 10-2 loss to the Majors in game one of the doubleheader.
Grace Cobbs led Sewanee with a two-for-three effort at the plate. Kayla Sewell also picked up a single to account for the Tigers' five-hit attack.
Killen suffered the pitching loss for Sewanee.
In the finale of the four-game weekend series the Majors outlasted Sewanee 8-1.
Cobbs, Sewell and Sarah Anne Hamilton each chipped in one hit. Cobbs drove in Sewanee's lone run of the game.
Hamilton was charged with the loss in the circle for the Tigers.
The Tigers drop to 5-21 overall on the season and 0-20 in SAA action.
Sewanee will return to action on Thursday when it hosts Tennessee Temple in a doubleheader. The first game is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
