Box Score 2 JACKSON, Miss. (April 13, 2013) – Behind a pair of strong pitching performance, Southern Athletic Association (SAA) foe Millsaps swept a doubleheader over the Sewanee softball team Saturday in Jackson, Miss.
Grace Cobbs and Cooper Killen picked up Sewanee's only two hits as the Tigers fell to the Majors 7-0 in the doubleheader opener.
Killen was charged with the loss in the circle for Sewanee.
Sarah Fleming was a perfect 3-for-3, but it wasn't enough as Millsaps shut out the Tigers 8-0 in the nightcap.
Sarah Walker chipped in two hits, while Maddie Gould had one hit for Sewanee.
Sarah Anne Hamilton suffered the pitching loss.
The Tigers' record dips to 5-19 overall and 0-18 in SAA play.
The Tigers and the Majors will wrap up their four-game SAA series tomorrow with a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
