Box Score BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (March 30, 2013) – Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Birmingham-Southern capped off a four-game sweep of the Sewanee softball team Saturday at Panther Field.
Sarah Anne Hamilton doubled and Sarah Walker singled for Sewanee's only two hits in the first game of the doubleheader as BSC prevailed over the Tigers 18-0.
Hamilton suffered the loss in the circle for Sewanee.
In the nightcap the Tigers could not manage a hit as they were shutout by the Panthers, 8-0.
Cooper Killen was charged with the pitching loss.
With the doubleheader loss, the Tigers now stand at 5-13 overall and 0-12 in SAA play.
Sewanee will return to action on Thursday when they host Tennessee Temple for a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m.
