Box Score 2 CONWAY, Ark. (March 23, 2013) – The Sewanee softball team dropped pair of games at Southern Athletic Association (SAA) member Hendrix, Saturday.
In the first game of the doubleheader, Warrior pitcher Ashley Halbert retired all fifteen Sewanee batters that she faced in the 12-0 Hendrix win.
Cooper Killen was charged with the loss in the circle for the Tigers.
The Tigers managed to rap out six hits in the nightcap of the twin bill, but were still not able to push a run across the plate as the Warriors won the game by a score of 14-0.
Sarah Fleming paced the Tigers with two hits in three trips to the plate, while Sarah Anne Hamilton, Kayla Sewell, Sarah Burklin, and Claire Knepshield each had one hit.
Hamilton suffered the pitching loss for Sewanee.
The Tigers now stand at 5-7 on the season and 0-6 in league play.
Sewanee and Hendrix will wrap up their four-game SAA series tomorrow with a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
