Box Score 2 SEWANEE, Tenn. (March 17, 2013) – The Sewanee softball team closed out its weekend series against Southern Athletic Association (SAA) foe Berry with a pair of losses against the Vikings.
In the first contest of the afternoon doubleheader, the Tigers were limited to only one hit as the Vikings defeated Sewanee 8-0. With one out in the home half of the third inning Kali Ousley singled to centerfield.
Freshman Cooper Killen suffered the pitching loss for the Tigers.
Berry benefitted from seven Sewanee errors in the nightcap of the twin bill to race to a 17-0 victory.
Sarah Fleming and Sara Burklin picked up the Tigers' only two hits in the game.
Sarah Anne Hamilton was charged with the loss in the circle for Sewanee.
The Tigers' record now stands at 3-5 on the season and 0-4 in SAA play.
Sewanee returns to action with a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader Thursday, March 21 when they host Fisk University.
