Box Score 2 SEWANEE, Tenn. (March 16, 2013) – The Sewanee softball team dropped a pair of Southern Athletic Association (SAA) contests against league foe Berry, Saturday.
In the first game of the afternoon doubleheader, the Vikings prevailed over the Tigers by a score of 15-0.
Sarah Fleming and Michelle Thibodeaux picked up Sewanee's only two hits of the game.
Sarah Anne Hamilton suffered the loss in the circle for the Tigers.
Grace Cobbs led the way for the Tigers with a perfect two-for-two effort at the plate.
Tigers then fell to Berry 17-0 in the nightcap of the doubleheader.
Kayla Sewell and Cooper Killen had one hit each.
Killen was charged with the pitching loss.
With the doubleheader sweep, the Tigers fall to 3-3 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
Sewanee and Berry will wrap up the four-game conference series with a noon doubleheader, Sunday.
