Box Score SAA Tournament Bracket
SEWANEE, Tenn. (Nov. 3, 2013) – Behind a season-high .425 attack percentage, the Sewanee volleyball team earned a 3-0 victory over Huntingdon Sunday to close out the 2013 regular season inside Juhan Gymnasium.
Sewanee (14-12) used its offense to take command early. The Tigers won the first two sets 25-12 and 25-15. In the third set, the Hawks stayed in control until late. However, after chipping away all set, the Tigers closed out the match at 26-24.
Individually, junior Jamie Sue Wilson led the attack with a match-high 15 kills on 34 attempts. Additionally, freshman Diamond Stewart finished in double digit kills with 11.
Sewanee also added six service aces, two by freshman Sara Jayne Sutton and one by Stewart, Jamie Kosman, Wilson, and Kayla Sewell.
With their regular season over, Sewanee will face Centre in the upcoming SAA Tournament. That match is scheduled to begin Friday, November 8 at 12:30 p.m. (EST) at Berry College in Rome, Ga.
