Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. (Oct. 6, 2013) – The Sewanee volleyball team earned its second straight win, as the Tigers defeated Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Rhodes, 3-1, Sunday at Juhan Gymnasium.
With the win, Sewanee improved 12-6 overall and 3-4 in conference action.
The Tigers opened the match with a close 25-23 first-set win. After Sewanee and Rhodes split the next two sets, the Tigers held on in the final frame by another 25-23 score.
Sewanee was led by Jamie Sue Wilson, who posted 17 kills and a .300 attack percentage. Additionally, Kayla Sewell and Maggie Stanford finished with seven kills.
Other notable performances included 20 digs by libero Jaime Kosman and a double-double by Rachel Schuman, who posted 17 assists and 10 digs.
The Tigers continue their seven-match homestand with a 6:00 p.m. match against league leading Berry, Friday.
