Box Score JACKSON, Miss. (Oct. 19, 2013) – Southern Athletic Association (SAA) member Millsaps earned a 3-0 win over the Sewanee volleyball team Saturday inside the Hangar Dome in Jackson, Miss.
With the loss, Sewanee fell to 13-9 overall and 4-7 in league play.
After the Majors opened with back-to-back 25-21 set victories, Millsaps closed out the match by winning the third set 25-14.
Behind a strong attack percentage, the Majors finished with 14 more kills than the Tigers.
Individually, junior Kayla Sewell finished as the only Tiger with double digit kills (11).
Sewell also finished with her second double-double this season after she added 16 digs.
Along with Sewell, freshman setter Walker Buxton added 11 assists.
Sewanee will quickly return to action with 2:00 p.m. match, Sunday at Birmingham-Southern.
