Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. (Oct. 18, 2013) – Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Berry earned a 3-0 victory over the Sewanee men's soccer team on a chilly Friday night at Puett Field.
The Vikings scored their first goal off a penalty kick from Josh Hughes.
After intermission, Sewanee came out of the locker strong. In fact, the Tigers outshot Berry in the second half by an 11-7 mark.
Despite the effort, the Tigers were unable to push a shot pass Berry keeper Logan Hill.
Unfortunately, Berry took advantage of playing with a man-up most of the second half. David Shaw scored off a touch pass from Caleb Lucas and Evan Echols netted a header off a crossing pass from Matt Seib to finalize the goals.
Individually, sophomore Chris Haberstroh finished with a match-high four shots after entering the contest late in the first half.
Additionally, William White finished with three attempts while Ford Emerson and Griffin Smith add two shots.
Sewanee will look to get back on track with a 4:30 p.m. contest against Hendrix, October 25.
