Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Sept. 30, 2012) – The Sewanee field hockey team dropped a 2-1 match at Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Rhodes, Sunday, in Memphis, Tenn.
The Lynx got on the board early, when freshman Mary Rose Hazel scored off a penalty corner.
After the intermission, Sewanee rebounded as senior forward Anne Booke evened the score with a goal with 25 minutes left.
Unfortunately, Rhodes stayed aggressive as Katie Faucher scored the game-winner with 15 minutes remaining.
Overall, the Lynx led Sewanee in shots 13-4. Individually, Booke and Molly Kennedy led the Tiger attack with two attempts each.
Sewanee will take now take 12 days off before returning to action at Denison, October 13th. That match is scheduled start at 1:00 p.m., EST.
