Offense leads Emory past Sewanee, 3-0

SEWANEE, Tenn. (Sept. 26, 2012) – The Sewanee men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision against regional-rival Emory, Wednesday evening at Puett Field.

The Eagles jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Dylan Price tapped in a rebound shot from Andrew Jones, in the 11th minute.

In the second half, Emory stayed on the attack as Alex Scott and Carl Credle added the final two scores.

Overall, the Eagles strong offense outshot Sewanee 24-6. Additionally, Emory held a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Nate Owens, who finished with two shots, led the Tiger offense. Additionally, freshman goalkeeper Jacob Zalewski made career-high eight saves.

Sewanee will look to rebound when the Tigers open Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play at Oglethorpe, Saturday. That match is scheduled to kickoff at 4:00 p.m., in Atlanta.
