JACKSON, Miss. 4/6/12 – The Millsaps Majors swept a doubleheader from the Sewanee Tigers today in SCAC softball action in Jackson, Miss. The Majors won the first game 8-0 and topped the Tigers in the second game 9-0.
In the first game, the Tigers managed only two hits.
Grace Cobbs and
Kayla Sewell each had a single.
Sarah Hamilton was charged with the loss in the circle.
Erin Polena and
Michelle Thibodeaux picked up the Tigers' only two hits in the second game.
Thibodeaux suffered the pitching loss.
With the losses, Sewanee drops to 5-12 overall and 0-6 in SCAC play.
The Tigers and the Majors will wrap up their four-game series tomorrow with a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 12 noon.
