Tigers End Season with Doubleheader Loss to Birmingham Southern

SEWANEE, Tenn. (April 22, 2012) – The Birmingham Southern Panthers wrapped up an SCAC-series sweep of the Sewanee Tigers today by taking both ends of an afternoon doubleheader by scores of 13-0 and 12-0.
 
Sarah Anne Hamilton was charged with the pitching loss in the first game.
 
A double off the bat of Hamilton and a single by Kayla Sewell were the only hits the Tigers could manage in the game.
 
In the second game of the doubleheader, Michelle Thibodeaux suffered the loss in the circle.
 
The Tigers had no hits in the game.  The only Tiger to reach base was Grace Cobbs who coaxed a two-out walk in the bottom of the fifth inning.
 
With the losses the Tigers end the 2012 season with a 5-22 overall record and finish 0-16 in SCAC action.
