Tigers add a 63-39 road win at Hiwassee

MONROE, Tenn. (Dec. 7, 2012) – The Sewanee women's basketball team earned an impressive 63-39 victory at Hiwassee College, Friday, in Monroe, Tenn.

After taking a strong 40-16 halftime lead, the Tigers continued to play well behind good shooting and a strong defense in the second half.

Individually, sophomore forward Kayla Sewell finished with a team-high 16 points. Additionally, junior guard Paige Lowe pitched in 15 points while Jamie Samociuk added 10.

Bethany Allen led Hiwassee with a game-high 27 points.

The Tigers will quickly return to action with a 2:00 p.m., contest at Johnson University, Saturday.
