Tigers defeat Oglethorpe, match most wins since 1999

ATLANTA (Oct. 5, 2012) The Sewanee volleyball team kept rolling with a 3-1 (25-10, 20-25, 25-21, 26-24) win at Southern Athletic Association (SAA) member Oglethorpe, Friday, in Atlanta.

With the victory, Sewanee improved 9-7 overall and 3-5 in league play. Additionally, Friday's victory gave Sewanee its most wins in a single-season since the Tigers posted 21-13 record in 1999.

In the victory, sophomore Jamie Sue Wilson finished with a game-high 15 kills. Freshman Lucy Riddle pitched in nine kills, while Jamie Kosman had 14 digs. Finally, sophomore setter Rachel Schuman had a team-best 19 assists.

The Tigers, winners of five out of their last six matches, will look to keep their momentum going at Berry College, Saturday. That match is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m., EST in Rome, Ga.
