Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. (Oct. 5, 2012) – Despite 110 minutes of action, the Sewanee men's soccer team could not break through as the Tigers and Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Birmingham-Southern battled to a scoreless 0-0 draw, Friday, at Puett Field.
In a close match, both teams finished with 15 shot attempts. Additionally, the Panthers and Tigers each had five shots on goal. In fact, the only difference statistically was that Sewanee held a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Individually, Sewanee was led by senior Dillon Flynn and freshmen Jared Zissu and Chris Haberstroh, who each finished with three shots.
The Tigers will look to earn their first conference win of the season Sunday, when SAA foe Millsaps travels to Puett Field. That match is scheduled to kickoff at noon on senior day.
