Volleyball tops Centre, 3-1

DANVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 16, 2012) The Sewanee volleyball team earned a 3-1 (18-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-15) victory over Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Centre, Tuesday night, inside Boyle County Arena.

With the victory on Centre's Senior Night, the Tigers evened their overall record to 10-10 and are now 4-8 in conference play.

Jamie Sue Wilson led the Tiger attack with 12 kills and 11 digs. Lucy Riddle, who finished with nine kills and six block assists, and Rebecca Hannigan, who put down seven kills, joined Wilson. 

Defensively, Kayla Sewell had four block assists and 18 digs while libero Jamie Kosman had 24 digs.

With their final road match of the season behind them, the Tigers welcome long-time rival Rhodes to Juhan Gymnasium Saturday, October 20th.
