SEWANEE, Tenn. (Oct. 13, 2012)  Playing against one of the top programs in the nation, the Sewanee men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision against visiting Christopher Newport, Sunday, at Puett Field.

The Captains jumped out to a quick first-half lead, when Andrew Bonorden and Sean Moriatry scored.

Down 2-0 to start the second half, Sewanee came out strong. After a foul by Christopher Newport, senior Samuel Edoung-Biyo served a beautiful free kick inside the box, where Paul Campbell redirected the ball past CNU goalkeeper Sean Killon.

Despite a valiant effort, Sewanee could not overcome its early deficit. After the Tigers cut the lead to 2-1, CNU added a late goal by Jack Cooper.
